General Specifications of Polypropylene Pipes

  • Polypropylene pipes are produced by Polypropylene Random Copolymer raw material. This material is called as type 3. the most important feature that makes it different from others is that it can be used both in sanitary installation and hot water installation.
  • It is produced between Ø20 - Ø50 mm. the product can be produced in various colours. The colour has no positive affects to the quality.

Usage of Polypropylene Pipes

  • It is used in sanitary installations of the constructions. Because of its hot water resistance it can also be used in hot water installations.
  • Pipes are produced in 4 m length.
  • It can also be used in Solar Collector Systems.
  • Thanks to its expansion feature it doesn’t burst when the water inside becomes ice.

Cases that requires attention in Polypropylene Pipes

  • PP has crystallized (vitreous) form at under 0°C. It shouldn’t take hit when it is in crystallized form. It shouldn’t be carried by throwing during carriage.
  • If the buildings of which installations are laid and tested don’t use it in winter season it should be switched off from valve. And pressure should be got out by opening the cock.
  • Welding shouldn’t be done under 5°C. when the product is taken out the plate it gets cold suddenly and there is surface solidification. And because this is cold welding it can’t show resistance against pressure.
  • After plate pipe and fittings shouldn’t be interplaced by twisting. Don’t try to fix inclinations or skews.

Service Life of Polypropylene Pipes

  • It is guaranteed for 50 years in 20°C under/at 25 bar pressure
